Collar Size

How to choose your pets collar size

There are two methods to choose a good collar size.

  • Measure the length of your dogs current collar with a ruler if it is already a comfortable fit.

    OR

  • Use a tape measure to loosely measure the length around your dogs neck. Then ensure this neck measurement fits within the neck size ranges specified for each collar size. Make sure there is at lease 2-3cm of extra space so that the collar is not too tight. If your dogs neck measurement is right on the upper bracket, we would suggest going to the next collar size up.

eg. A dog with a neck measurement of 40cm would be best suited to a collar of total length 55cm, rather than the 45cm, as 2-3cm of room is required.

Generally, collars sold in this store adhere to the sizing chart below unless otherwise specified. You may find your dogs neck measurement can fit into two or three different collar sizes, so make your best judgement. Some of our collar styles offer the full range of sizes, other styles offer only selected sizes (30cm, 40cm, 50cm, 60cm).
